JSHS Starters
A pathway for participation into JSHS
This year the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium will continue the JSHS Starters program to promote participation across DoDEA Europe. JSHS Starters is designed to give students currently in grades 9 and 10 a more supported and time friendly environment in which to begin a project with JSHS. Students interested in JSHS Starters will submit a proposal for an original research topic this year, with the goal of presenting their research at the next regional event. The JSHS Starter submission will include background information/research, materials list and a procedure for the proposed research. A template for the submission along with an example submission are posted below. Students interested in participating will complete the template and submit the proposal via the link below before the January submission date identified on the homepage. All completed submissions will be evaluated and selected proposals will be invited to the current JSHS Europe Regional based on available funding. While at the Regional, event participants will work with other students and judges to further develop the proposal, and create a timeline to ensure the project is completed before the submission deadline for the following regional event.
